That's still not the same, the choking game, like spinning around, is an attempt to get high, as is drugs and alcohol. Other risky behaviour is thrill chasing. It may be stupid but there is an expectation of some sort of reward however fleeting.
There's no reward with eating laundry pods, just pain and suffering.
I knew a kid who accidently did that at primary school. He cried about it, got sent to the nurse, and then his mum came to pick him up giving him a half day. After that we all tried it but nobody else got the day off.
They're not exactly hard to get hold of, kids get them in their Christmas stockings, schools keep supplies. Sometimes novelty rubbers are given out as rewards. I'm not talking about the big ones, mind you, they were the little rubbers on the end of pencils.
