One inch is defined as 2.54 centimeters.

Therefore, there are 12 x 2.54 = 30.48 centimeters in a foot.

Taking the reciprocal of this number (1/30.48), we get 0.0328084 feet per centimeter.

Multiplying by 100, we get 3.28084 feet per meter, since there are 100 centimeters in a meter.
