hello. i was wondering if anyone knew anything about innovations of humans that are based on the physical characteristics of plants and animals? i have looked everywhere i can think of and i can find nothing and i have a paper due on the subject in less than a week. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Plants:

Solar Cells (based on a desire to extract energy from sunlight). Solar cells and photosynthesis don't work the same way, but both convert solar energy to a different form (plants use photosynthesis to create simple sugars).

Animals:

Gecko Tape (tape based on the VanDerWaals force)

Sonar from Dolphins (ultrasound)?

Flight (Birds)
