You can take quite a few 4 mega pixel pictures with the 32MB that is built-in; however, additional memory is a must. 128MG-256MG is more than plenty for snapshots. You can have as many memory cards as you want; once a memory card is full you can replace it with an empty one until you are able to upload them to your computer.

You can use alkaline batteries but with digital cameras they seem to weaken pretty fast, so you will need rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride cells and a charger to get decent battery life. Be sure to purchase addtional rechargeable batteries for back-upÂ…nothing worse than taking pictures of that special moment and then the batteries go dead.

Right on colorbook...I upload my photos right away so I only have a 64 MB memory card. Rechargable AA batteries are a must since a camera eats em like breath mints.
Also I bought my g/f a small camera case that had a compartment for extra AA's

I managed to find a camera case that looks like a woman's purse, so I use it as both; my camera is always with me no matter where I go.

I hope they don't really check the name on the billing address when processing the credit card. i put the wrong one (right last name, but my first name ...got a little carried away and thought i was entering shipping info.)

anyways, i ordered it and feel so guilty.

$300+ last night for pet supplies
$600+ for dog
$100-160 for puppy checkup and heartworm medicine
$216 (after taxes) for digital cam.
still haven't bought dog food.

going wedding dress shopping before i pick up pup next weekend.

good gracious.

not to mention the $160 for wedding hair/makeup trial a few weeks ago.
or the bills for the house this month.

...and the memory card/recharger i'm just about to order at a separate site. colorbook, I'm going to go with what you said. I'm not going to buy batteries "yet" I don't think. I have 2 boxes of batteries right now, so we'll see if that can last me a few months. I'm going to make a terrible wife (spend, spend, spend).
