An Arkansas sheriff's deputy was fired after his wife posed nude next to his patrol car.

A computer disc containing photos of Damon Gregory's wife posing near the patrol vehicle surfaced at the Franklin County Sheriff's office in early December. Gregory was fired Dec. 14, and the reason was released Thursday. A supervisor who knew of the photographs was demoted from sergeant to road deputy.

"As soon as this came to our attention, the sheriff took action," said Chief Deputy James Hamilton.

Gregory said he won't appeal his firing for violating department policy and conduct regulations.

"The sheriff's department wants to apologize to each and every citizen for any embarrassment or loss of confidence," Hamilton said.

I will never understand why people get offended at nudity. Why be embarrassed? What's the big deal? Haven't you ever seen a naked person before? Chill out dudes!

Nick is right. But I'm wondering how the Sheriff got hold of the pix. Was the deputy passing them around? Now, that's in bad taste.

I figure if my tax dollars were paying for the car, I'd rather the car be used for law enforcement than feelthy pictures.

Had he kept the evidence in his house instead of sharing with his fun loving co-workers....

I wouldn't fire him for porn--just for bad judgement.

That's right, bear! Too bad it didn't happen here in Oklahoma. He could've appealed the firing, and maybe he'd be lucky enough to get our judge who uses his penis pump under his robes in court!

Public nudity=against the law.
Policeman=supposed to enforce the law.
Policeman taking public nudity photos=not a policeman.

But it is the nudity. My god, look at the big fuss that was put up over Janet Jacksons boob. Western civilization has a thing with nudity. It makes us all too horny I guess. Laughing

Well, if you want to debate whether public nudity should be illegal... I could care less, myself.

My point was that a cop broke the law. That should be the reason for his dismissal.

Just like cops here in Austin that drive drunk.

Hey DrewDad, of all the crimes commited in this world that has to be the most innocuous, least offensive, downright most victimless crime there is. Drnk driving kills. There's a big difference.

I just realized, after a closer read of the article, what the big brou ha ha is about.....this guy was actually taking pictures of his wife and his sister AND they were the same girl....it is Arkansas afer all.....

Like I said, I couldn't care less whether public nudity is illegal or not. Or whether taking pictures of such constitutes pornography.

OMG, could it not have been some Bostonians that were naked on cop cars? Or...or...Texans? LOL.....It would have to Arkansas!

And WE wonder why we fight this "Hillbilly" Stigma like we do here. Its because of Bubba and his Woman hood sliding like Bo Duke with the KY and taking Pictures of it. The bad part is, he was apparently passing them around at work.

It just never ceases to amaze me.
