I have a very adorable and feisty yellow lab puppy whom is 6 mos. old.
I am very sadly having to find a good home for him after being diagnosed with some serious medical problems that will warrant surgery.
I can no longer run and play with him and give him the full and energetic life that he deserves and enjoys. Can anyone guide me to web sites where I can post his picture and try to find a decent and loving home for my dog? I am living in Kansas and hope to find a family within the neighboring state or two. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I'm very sorry to hear about your health! I know it must be heart-breaking to give up your dog. Here are some links. You may be able to foster your dog to another home for the duration of your recovery.

Labrador Retriever club with links to different states' clubs:
http://www.alllabs.com/labrador_retrievers_links.htm#Rescue/Missing

The Witcheta Eagle has an adoption page here:
http://buyit.kansas.com/findit/search/browse.jsp?catId=krd_wichitaeagle3280e&start=11&howMany=10

And, an adoption search engine where you can plug in your state and county:

http://www.adpost.com/us/?sta=kansas&cat=dogs&db=us_pets&website=&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=headlines&category=Dogs&query=browse

Good luck placing your dog, and good luck with your recovery. Come back and let us know how everything went.....

RW-

Littlek is good on research. Her links should help. As Swimpy says, stick around. You are welcome here at A2K.
