There is also more wrong with the other theory, It does not skip the tuskaninny. It says the Cybunny and then 3 further back in line a Korbat... so they do noit skip the Tuskaninny.

They had to skip either the Tuskaninny or the Jub Jub to put the Korbat at the 8th place in line.

At the front of the line was a Moehog (1). Behind him were, in order, a Lenny(2), a Meerca(3), a Techo(4), a Poogle(5) and a Cybunny(6). Three places further back(+3), a Korbat(9) spotted a friend way back in the 38th spot in line, and called out her name to say hello.

They did not skip anything but the Flotsam to this point unless I am really missing something.

I guess this really depends on how you look at it because it can be done either way.

Don't ask me how i came up with this but just now, I did something and came up with shield for 3 years - which I believe is Fyora?

Would it make sense to skip all plushies since they would probably not be going to the concert?

Some folks are saying Fyora because you skip the Flotsam [it can't go on dry land] and the Jetsam [same], but Neopia never seems to distinguish things like that... Neopia is "magical," after all.

It does seem strange to have Koi and all these Maraquan-coloured pets floating around above ground, though Very Happy

This is definately a stumper. I put Fyora because I skipped the ones that didn't have feet, lol

Guess we will find out next Thursday - most probably Smile

Umm... if you search for the Flotsam, read it's description:

Flotsam are one of many different species that exist in Neopia. As a general rule Flotsam enjoy swimming around in the oceans and rivers of Neopia, although they can move just as well on land when they wish.

Here's a thought:

Has anyone ever played NeoQuest II and made it to the second half of Haunted Woods?

About halfway through that Act (Act 4) you meet the brain tree.

Remember what he says?

After talking to him a bit, you read this line:

Quote:
The Brain Tree laughs. "Yes! Already I know what has happened, though I am immobile."

How could the brain tree suddenly be in Tyrannia in order to be in line?

The same goes for the Esophagor, I don't think he's allowed (or able) to leave Esophagor's swamp.

As for the rest of the sheilds, the next immobile Sheild character would be 39th month shield, which shows a mocking daffodile (sorry if that's not actually the name of the item).

Since the flotsam isn't in line, and the Brain Tree and Esophagor are stuck in Haunted Woods, then that would mean that a total of 3 are missing.

If you count up to the 38th shield other than the Brain Tree, Esophagor, and Flotsam, you will find youself at Fyora, the Faerie Queen: 3 years (36 months). Since the next immobile or excluded sheild would be the flower (month 39), it doesn't push back our counting anymore.

So could the answer be Fyora, because the Flotsam wasn't in line and the two great beasts of Haunted Woods can't get in line?

But... Can a tuskaninny walk on ground? It doesn't have feet also. But I still put Fyora... Maybe there are some articles in Neopedia about some characters who don't leave their homes. But I am lazy enough to not find them out.

A Tuskaninny is basically a seal, right? Seals can go on land just fine, though they're a bit slow Wink

The missing Flotsam seems to be a huge clue... or a huge oversight Confused I wonder which? They've stopped explaining their answers again, so it's a bit frustrating.

Yeah, but! They are in Tyrannia and it's pretty dry there. Maybe both flotsam and tuskaninny couldn't handle the dryness?

Yeah, they could put explonations in the answers again. Maybe I'll e-mail them about it. Tough it is a small chance they would even read my letter XD

Okay, let's face some facts:

Neopets does not just make puzzles you have to figure out anymore, they include a small catch.

The one catch that I must say really frustrated me and had me put up my gaurd was the Grundo Snow Thrower one. There was a cap on how many enemies were added (5 each level) so the Grundos would lose at level 11 instead of 10.

So I'd say this one has two catchs:
First: Not only do you have to realize that the order is based on the shields, but how many people overlook the fact that the Flotsam is missing? Those who miss that put Taelie, because Taelie is the 38th shield.

Second: Neopets wanted to have a right answer, and an easy to get wrong answer. Fyora and Taelie are just three sheilds apart. So Neopets had to come up with a way to have the right answer be Fyora, but mislead people to Taelie. There are only two characters on the shields before Taelie and Fyora that could not make it to Tyrannia, plus no one might actually consider it and it would be called a "Cheap trick" by neopets (not that that's stopped them before). So what do they do? They take away one more sheild character. Which one you ask? The third one, since it'd be so easy to overlook. People would have to peice together the list, find where the Korbat was, and they just left so many gaps for people to fill, that they just miss the fact that the Flotsam is missing. But since the Flotsam IS missing, that's neopet's way of telling us "There's one more catch you should know about if you were able to notice this one."
And what catch would that be? Why, quite frankly it's that two characters presented on the shields couldn't make it to Tyrannia.

So basicly, here's where everyone is stuck, the final question on everyone's mind:

"Why was the Flotsam not in line?"

The answer? Because Neopets had to take away one member from the line in order to have 3 missing, bumping the answer from Taelie back to Fyora.

Why the Flotsam? It was just unlucky. If they discluded the Moehog, everyone would have noticed. And everyone remembers about the Lenny. The one that would be easiest to overlook is the Flotsam, just because of it's placement and how they spaced out and worded the question. It's not that it's a marine Neopet, it's not because it doesn't have legs, it's not because it's painted green. It's simply because it would be the least detectable if it went missing.

Hehe, sorry that my last post was so long and confusing. If you want to skip it or didn't get it, I'll quickly summarize it here.

Fact 1: Neopets loves to put into their riddles a number of catchs. They like to mislead people to jumping the gun and putting down the wrong answer.

Fact 2: Taelie and Fyora are only 3 shields apart, but there are only 2 shield portrayed characters that can't go to Tyrannia.

Fact 3: The real question of everyone's mind is "Why the Flotsam".

My Conclusion[/u]
They removed the Flotsam for three reasons:
1. As a tip-off to those of us who are observant that there is a catch.
2. So that they'd have 3 shield portrayed characters missing from the line.
3. Simply because of it's location in the line of shields.

NOT for the following reasons:
1. Because it's a Marine neopet
2. Because it has no legs
3. Because it's painted green
4. Because it has no ears and can't enjoy music
5. Any other quality associated to the species that is Flotsam.

So: "Why the Flotsam?" Simply because it was there. It's just in the wrong spot at the wrong time, nothing else.

You know something? They WILL explain it if enough people complain, like they complained about the last invisible one and they even explained BEFORE THE JUDGING WAS DONE that they'd accept two different answers as correct. Surprised

So let's all spam them about how we don't get it and they'd better explain themselves this time Razz
