271 - 482 = 436

148 + 591 = 866
When u swich some of the numbers in 148 around it makes 481. Which is 1 less than 482 which is in the first equation.? 481 -1 = 482

4881 + 8914 = 6562
And 4881 is 481 with an extra 8?
8827 * 1178 = ?

I dont know what this is leading to

The problem is, we don't know HOW these numbers rotate. Unless we have a formula to follow, there's a large number of possibilities for that final answer.

Is there a list some place for item numbers? Maybe if we find out what the item is that corresponds with number in the puzzle it might give us another clue? I really don't know, it's just a suggestion.

Well maybe its TNT trying to be funny/tricky and they want us to give the RIGHT answer to the equation.

jellyneo has an item database... but i can't find anything listed by 'item number'
no amount of rotating digits will get you anywhere close to a solution for the second one.
<boggle>
grrr.... i'm sure it will make perfect sense once they post the answer next week.

she wrote code to loop through it using ABCDEFGH

I am no math wiz, but if you look at this formula they have, the answers they have are not even right.
271 - 482 = 436

148 + 591 = 866

4881 + 8914 = 6562

8827 * 1178 = ?

well, if she is right, and most probably she is, helping with a formula isnt really giving the answer.

Are we supposed to assign numbers to the letters like A=1, B=2 and so on and then find a pattern from there? I'm lost.
