confounded, tell me which one am I off...?

- for the sequence numbers I got: xx1 , xx2 (the 1st digit of the second # is twice the 1st digit of the first #)

- for the average prize I got: 7xxx.xx with 2 digits that repeats

- for the species I got: 2xx1xx (the species ends with "n")

- and for the 30k prize I got a 2 digit # that is a multiple of 5

and my final answer is a 16 digit that starts with 6878 and ends with 936....? X_x

For the over 30000 NP prizes -- Yes, you do have to look through all the old news. Here's a tip though, TNT only changed the LC reward system to its current form on September 6 of 2004 so you don't need to look any earlier than that.

Don't round any of the 5 numbers that you multiply in the end. There will not be any decimal place once you multiply them together.

@charmy,
charmy, From your description it seems that we have all the same numbers for each part of the puzzle. Yet my final answer does not match up with yours. Mine starts with 683 and ends with 688. Have you tried multiplying the 5 numbers together again?

(Disclaimer: Of course, it's possible that I'm the one with the incorrect answer here. I've checked mine a few times, but one can never be certain)

@margitlou,
margitlou -- Here's what I did when looking at the prize amounts for past puzzles to make sure I got the correct ones (because they do often have the same LC last more than 1 week). Keep one window open with the past LC's answer explanation and make sure that answer matches the one described in the news.

Example: I open the explanation for round 101, check the news for the prize. Open the explanation for round 103, check the news and make sure the answer matches. Open round 105 and check, etc. Of course you're only recording the prize amounts here.

@confounded,
Yea... I've re-multiplied them like 10 times and still end up with the same number...

Could it be that our numbers have the same pattern but the digits itself is different? O_o

@margitlou,
Yeah, it is VERY tedious. I don't have the date for puzzle 199, but puzzle 100 (not 101) was on January 17, 2005.

@charmy,
charmy, Yep that's probably it. I'm thinking we differ on either the neopet species number of the odd-numbered LC prize average.

@confounded,
I don't think it's the average prize #.... I did the same thing you did. I'm guessing it's probably the species too but what are the chances... Mine appeared 3 times also.

@charmy,
I'm really curious as to where we're getting different answers. I think we probably have the same species as well because mine appeared 3 times and it was the only one that appeared that often.

For the sequence numbers: Is the 2nd digit of the 1st number 3 times the 2nd digit of the 2nd number?

@wertyiu102,
wertyiu -- That is not the species name that I got. Make sure you're only looking in the LC puzzle ANSWERS to find the most common name; not the LC QUESTIONS.
