Probably made some mistakes but here goes.
After 8 years I got
height = 2431.423973
circumference = 68.70790098
(note: haven't rounded until right at the end)
Thus radius of the base = 10.93520207
area of the base = 375.6673905
and cone volume = 304468.8997 cm cubed

I then used M/V = M1/V1 since density will be the same
had to multiply cone volume by 10^-6
gave me a mass of 161.3685168 kg
which I rounded to 161

the mass has to be higher than the density which is 530 so i think you made a mistake

But it's 530kgs per cubic meter so I got
1613685.16841

[If the density of the wood is 530 kilogrammes per cubic metre, how many kilogrammes did the tree's trunk weigh this past New Year's Eve?]

What part does this play and how do you figure it out? Could someone give the equation please? Thank you.

that was using the 1/3 area of base x height to get volume

Yes your probably right, but my tree volume was only 0.3044688997 m^3

bullseye, why did you change your first number from 1671.08 to a higher #?

I just did the calculation and the 1671.08 number is correct. My daughter is a math major and she is helping me now!

When using the equation for volume of a cone (1/3*pi*r^2*h) I get 303686cm^3. Then, for density (kg/m^3) *volume (cm^3) is equal to mass/weight, I changed the kilograms to grams (so I could use cm^3) by multiplying by 1000. then when I got the answer back, I divided by 1000 to get gack to kilograms. My equations:

Volume: 1/3*3.14159*(10.49cm^2)*2423.05cm=303686cm^3
then 530 kg = 530000 grams
530000g/cm^3*303686cm^3=160953580000grams
divide that by 1000 to get kg=160953580

That seems a bit big. what do you think?

OK BEFORE WE CAN GET THE RIGHT ANSWER, WE NEED TO ALL AGREE ON HOW MANY YEARS THERE HAVE BEEN!

I haven't been on here but 4 years so I'm not sure. That is going to make a heck of alot of difference in the answer!

Once we know for sure the years I think I can do the rest of the Math now.

I changed it from 1671.08 to 2423.06 because the first time I only did it for 7 years growth instead of 8

the diameter is 68.7079..., the radius isn´t 34.35???
