I hate waiting for the new Conundrum...sheesh. Why can't they just update it at the same time every week...ugh

The Lost Desert, Haunted Woods, Krawk Island, and Terror Mountain Yooyuball teams decided to play a small tournament against each other; each team would play once against each other team.

After all the games were played, the Lost Desert team won all three of their games, scoring six goals total while only giving up one goal.

The Haunted Woods team won a single game, tied a game, and lost a game. They only scored two goals total, while giving up four goals.

The Krawk Island team won a single game and lost two games. They only scored two goals total, while giving up two goals.

The Terror Mountain team did not win any games; they tied once and lost twice. They only scored two goals, and gave up five goals.

If you take the number of goals the Lost Desert team scored against the Haunted Woods, and you multiply that by the number of goals that Krawk Island scored against Terror Mountain, and you multiply all that by the total number of goals scored in the game between the Lost Desert and Terror Mountain, and you add to that the number of goals Krawk Island scored against the Haunted Woods, what number will you get? Enter ONLY a number; any other information may result in your answer being disqualified.

Don't know....THis is a tuffy. I started by setting up a grid to establish the points scored on the games..but i keep getting caught in a logic loop...lol I need to use the team the lost every game and the team that won every game somehow. Since they include the points the teams gave up...it should be easy, but I am having a hard time.. trying to figure who which team they 'gave' the points to.

The fourth part (the addition) is irrelevant. Krawk Island never scored any goals in any games they lost. They lost to Haunted Woods and Lost Desert, but because they gave up only 2 goals, they lost in a score of 0-1 in both games. Therefore the 2 goals they scored were against Terror Mountain.

I'm having trouble with the rest, though

The answer is 3 X 2 X 3 + 0 = 18

good, I think the answer probably be "74", because:
{["the number of goals the Lost Desert team scored against the Haunted Woods" (6) x "the number of goals that Krawk Island scored against Terror Mountain" (2)] x "the total number of goals scored in the game between the Lost Desert and Terror Mountain" (6)} + "the number of goals Krawk Island scored against the Haunted Woods" (2) = 74

Them, what do you think of this?... the numbers was the numbers I can read in the riddle, I'm confused?

i got 18 too,

it can't be 72 btw, because lost desert scored 6 in total, 3 to haunted, 2 to terror, and 1 to krawk

well, i believe it's right, but you know how lenny's are, very tricky, so maybe we have missed an "a" or any other small detail that could flip the answer

Because it's unfair for people who would always be in school or asleep or otherwise unable to catch it early if they always update it exactly the same time every time. Consider, for instance, the time difference between the east and west coasts in the US, much less to places like Great Britain or Australia, and it would be unfair not to include as many people as possible.
