Ok bases work like this-
Base 10- you count 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 then you get 10 (which is one 10 and no extra units)
Base 5- you count 1 2 3 4 then you get 10 (which is one 5 and no extra units)
100- is 10 10's in base 10
100- is 5 5's in base 5- when you convert that to base 10 you get 25 (5x5)
100- is 7 7's in base 7- when you convert that to base 10 you get 49 (7x7)
so:
1000 in base 5= 125
300 in base 5= 75
30 in base 5= 15
2 in base 5= 2
add it together you get 217.
1000 in base 7= 343
300 in base 7= 147
30 in base 7= 21
2 in base 7= 2
add it together you get 513.
1000 in base 8= 512
300 in base 8= 192
30 in base 8= 24
2 in base 8= 2
add it together you get 730.
730= 513+217= 730
