You can display our pictures on your own personal web pages for your personal noncommercial use ONLY as long as you [include the copyright notice] on EVERY page with our pictures and/or text and you link directly to us. By the way, this means that you can't...earn money, Neopets' Items, or Neopoints either on web pages that contain our pictures and other Materials, or by using our pictures or other Materials....
This sounds like posting their images without a link-back and credit is
definitely a violation, and using their images to earn prizes is
almost certainly a violation.
I could be wrong, of course. I welcome correction or clarification.
Thank you.

They have a "common sense" approach to it. A discussion of the MP answer [or a visual LC] is necessarily going to require some kind of use of the image, and I think anyone who finds this board specifically, at least, is going to understand that the images come from Neopets. I mean, they don't really require us to put copyright notices all over the AIM/MSN/LiveJournal icons they offer, because that's kind of excessive. Mostly it means you shouldn't claim or hint that you made the graphics yourself instead of stealing them, and you definitely shouldn't do it for some kind of gain [for money/Neopoints/Neopets virtual items, the latter two of which intice scammers to do their thing].
In terms of gaining the answer, from the NT Editorial #235:
Quote:If you post, "THE NEW LENNY CONUNDRUM ANSWER IS 2,423!" anywhere, you'll likely be getting a warning from one of the monitors. Blabbing it all over affects the prize for everyone, and that's not cool. Helping each other to come up with the correct answer is just fine. Just please don't post the steps or the answer for everyone to see.
This goes for Mystery Pic answers as well.
