Just for the sake of curiosity; if two people had their hands (or arms or legs) tightly bound to each other for a long period of time, let's say many years, would their flesh merge? Would they grow into each other and eventually share skin and blood vessels etc,?
I noticed this happens with tree limbs sometimes, when two branches lean against one another they kind of merge together.
