The British Medical Association has warned that the closure of Science departments threatens research.

I can never seem to get these weblinks to work!
Badbay- It would be nice, if you offered more information, with a link. A statement right out of the blue, with no corroborating facts, is rather meaningless.
If you were short of time, could the couldn't the thread wait until you had the time?
Perhaps changing the subject, one does wonder if one should start a campaign(distributing tracts?) encouraging children and adults to study science, this severely disabled person(me!) does feel I should do something as future scientists as well as R&A etc could paid for my benefits via taxes.
Even I feel obligations towards the people who pay for my benefits aw well as trying to make an indirect contribution towards society!
Hi badboy, You are correct , Closing science departments threatens not only good medical care, but causes lots of other problems. Modern civilization is built on a foundation of science and engineering. If our citizens are ignorant of science, they will make many bad choices, with poverty the result for future generations. I hope you can produce tracts that encourage young folks to learn science, math and/or engineering. Neil
The only question is, how?
I am thinking that a Foundation is needed.
As there is no useful link, I have no idea what you all are talking about.
Testy people. Badboy made it clear that he tried to post a link but couldn't figure out how. Helpful people might have offered their assistance rather than their critcism.
I believe
this is the link he was trying to post.
Thank you, Methos. At least now I know what the discussion is about.
