Is the British English sentence "to pay money into a bank account" used in American English?
Thank you.
@paok1970,
To deposit money into an account
@paok1970,
It would not be unheard of, but it would also not be common. The locution "pay money in" or "into" would more commonly be heard or read with regard to a retirement or investment fund.
@Setanta,
Should I use "pay" or "put" in the sentence below?
I’ve paid / put $350 into my account.
