If the following two sentence are correct, do they mean the same thing?

1) I get nervous every time I get on a plane.

2) I get nervous whenever I get on a plane.

In the sentence below, is it possible to use "become" instead of "get" with no change in meaning?

I become / get nervous whenever I get on a plane.

Become is standard; get is idiomatic.
