Which of the following sentences is correct?

The sex scenes have been cut OUT OF the TV version of the movie.

The sex scenes have been cut FROM the TV version of the movie.

If both are correct, do they mean the same thing?

If so, which would you use?

Also, in your own words, how would you express the above concept?
