Would you please explain the difference between "to bring something with you" and "to take something with you"?
For instance, suppose that I'm at home, it's raining and I want to go out. What should my wife tell me, "Don't forget to bring an umbrella with you" or "Don't forget to take an umbrella with you"?
Thank you.
Direction implied - bring : towards the speaker; take: away from the speaker
