My Tiki doll wont stop staring at me!

I was at a party once, sitting on a couch, staring at the carpet. There were people all around and I was so wasted I didn't feel like interacting with anyone so I was content to just sit there and watch their legs mill around. At one point, for some inexplicable reason, the area directly in front of me cleared. People drifted this way or that (and no, I didn't fart and had recently bathed) and continued their incessant party chatter. I now stared at an open swath of dirty green carpet -- a sort of quiet sea.

After staring for a couple minutes I noticed smoke rising from the carpet. The smoke got thicker and thicker until it completely obscured the green sea. Then, it started swirling. Round and round, faster and faster until the stuff in the middle started to break up and move its way to the edges. Now there was a swirling ring of smoke and in the center was a street scene from Marakesh. Extremely detailed. I watched in fascination as the vendors peddled their wares. There was a guy in a bright blue robe with a green turban and he had a orange parrot perched on his shoulder. He was quibbling with a woman who had a basket of fruit on her head. A camel in the background was spitting on a fat guy who had a scimitar hanging from his side.

It was quite a show and I spent a good deal of time watching this collection of colorful little people and their exotic animals when suddenly a blue jean covered leg burst into view and the hallucination was gone forever. I looked up. My friend Brian was looking down at me. "You ok, Gus?", he asked .

"Yeah, I'm fine. What time is it?" I asked.

I think I've told this story here before but maybe someone didn't hear it the first time around.

Another time I'll talk about my experience with King Kong in the mountains of New Hampshire.

Shewolf, aside from mailing the tiki doll to hawaii or selling it on Ebay try burning sage. It sometimes helps.

i forget.. SAGE.
Embarrassed thanks ceili, hehe

I will make that doll the objet of my next smudge.
if what ever is attached to it is still here... well.. after I smudge it it wont be. hehe
Then i may consider putting it on the corner with a " free to good home" sign.

If I didnt live with mother in law..
I would be doing it about once a month.
In my own home I make that a habit. Espically before I do any 'religious' work.
Here.. things are so uncomfortable and so uptight I tend to forget the tools I have at hand.
>sigh<
such is life. ;-)

Do you salt your doorways?
if not.. a good thing to do to keep the balance of the energy in your home,
sea salt the doorways once a week. Sweep the left over salts out the door before you add more. Simple, easy and not quite as smokey.
;-)

Perhaps it is an anniversary of some sort for whatever is in there, which would explain it's urgent need for your attention. I have a ghost that follows me around. Don't ask me why she won't stay put but...every now and then she gets edgy and feels ignored and makes her presence known. And then I just have to say "Sarah... I know you're there....could you please stop (whatever she's done or is doing)." Since I got married she doesn't come around much anymore. I asked her not to do anything crazy around my hubby. He gets spooked really easily.

Hey,
My names not sara.
Laughing

Isnt it neat to have something like that in your life?
I get flooded with alot of energy that I sometimes can not explain. Most of the time I dont want to explain it. It does get overwhelming at times.
And very hard when you have to explain to someone-
" oh.. never mind.. i was talking to sara "
My husband.. ( im lucky here ) doesnt necessarily believe in spirits or residual energy. That changed the day that I went into our daughters room and found her dresser tipped to one side, all of her clothes pulled out and stacked in piles neatly around her room , everything that was on top of her dresser ( powder, lotion, wipes.. things like that) were all setting upright at the base of the dresser. little bean was standing in her bed looking at the dresser mess and laughing.
I called Ian in and told him to tell me what he thought,
Mr NON believer.. said.. " She did it." Shocked
That was a very good statement for him to make. I wont elaborate just yet on it though..
Then he looked at me and said " is this something you can take care of?"
I asked him what he ment? I said of course i can pick it up!
No. I mean get that thing out of her room. If anything hurts her there is a problem.
I was shocked.. not a single OUNCe of logical explaination came pouring out of his mouth like usual. It was the biggest compliment I have ever recieved from him. Granted, he has never bashed or ridiculed my religion.. but he has never granted it more then a nod .
I dunno. Maybe it just means alot to me .. but WOW. He is really cool.
Does sara ever bother you?

no, not really. she just does things like turns the thermostat all the way down, lifts the chain off the door (it's dead bolted too), moves things, and creates that "someone is looking at me" feeling when no one but you is around. I've seen her once. Freaked me out. She used to trip the cat out all the time. Literally, my cat would be walking through the living room and all of a sudden, jump/turn and run as fast as she could down the hall way. Bizarre. Other than that, she doesn't really do anything. I think she just wanted to be seen. My hubby specifically asked to never ever see her. I think it might do permanant damage. Some people just aren't ready or equipt to deal I guess.

I actually used to read tarot. I haven't recently because I can't do myself. Too much bias I think...I invent what I want them to say.

But funny enough, I was told by a wiccan that my gift was tarot and so I picked up a deck and started reading, without using the book and relying on the feeling of the cards when they came up. People I did summer work with asked me to read and all of them were amazed at what I said regarding their past and present. It was great. My hubby kind of rolls his eyes at the whole thing too. I think that he believes that that scares him so he says he doesn't believe and that it isn't real and that helps him sleep better. So be it. I don't mind.

I forgot to add that every now and then the tv switches to channel 2 or the volume goes up one notch despite the fact that the remote is sitting on the table next to us. It doesn't matter what room it is in, or what house/apt. it is in. It did it the other day for the first time in a long time. Hubby always accuses me of doing it or blames it on a faulty tv but you and I both know what's really up.

I don't know. I assume that she was looking out for me and now that I am married she feels like I don't need her anymore. She is young, from what I remember. I don't know if that is the form she wanted to take or if she died that young. I don't know anything about her except that I call her Sarah because I don't know what else to call her and it felt right. She doesn't seem to mind so maybe that is her name. Or perhaps she is humoring the living.

she was around long before i met my husband.

The funny thing is, I remember being a kid and being terrified of leaving my bedroom at night because something was out there so maybe she's been with me my whole life. hm.

oh she's definitly peaceful. I am not scared of her and if I do get spooked, I just tell her to quit it and she does. Some nights I just get all spooky feeling. Maybe she has a friend along.
