How Do You React When Few Members Respond to Your Thread?

Actually.. I think of myself as the thread killer also.
I also worry about my single posts.
It is hard to portray my sence of humor, and my serious nature when there is no way to show body language, voice fluxuation, or facial expressions.
Maybe .. I should start a prozac thread for those of us who are offended.......Laughing
When I first got on A2K I thought everything I WANTED to discuss was of utmost importance to the world. NOT that I have an ego or anything. ;-)
Now Ijust appreciate the diversity and always try to kill a thread on a daily basis. It is a life goal for me. Laughing

Yet I always look for your posts shewolf, to see what you've got to say. I have my favourites:

Panzade - fun and very clever
The Prince - fun and cheeky
Kickycan - funny and dirty
Mctag - Esteemed Statesman
Walter - knows everything

To name but a few.......

Has there been a 'how I imagine other members look' thread?

I have to go get stitches now......the 'sex with a midget' threads alive again! Very Happy

With some questions, the questions that require a lot of thinkng, I really prefer that only a few people respond.

With other questions, ones that ask for more practical help based on other's experience, I like to have a lot of people respond.

The only time I've ever really scratched my head over no responses is when Gordon Cooper, the astronaut, died and I posted a thread that got no replies. At the same time there were several long threads over some celebrity that had died. It just seemed kind of...... sad.

I really only post a thread/question when I'm beside myself with curiosity. Sometimes I'm verklempt when I don't get the answer here but for the most part, the answers I get I enjoy reading. Sometimes my threads have gotten away from me and I feel I have nothing to add.

Count me among the voices crying in the wilderness.
But it doesn't really bother me. I don't start many threads, and most of
those -- to be brutally frank -- aren't that good.

Generally I a mvery philosophical about threads that don't attract people.

Just occasionally I am quite pissed off - when I think something I posted is really interesting, or contains real information about stuff that people sound off about a lot, but don't have any real information on - like the "Inside Al Quaeda's Hard-Drive" and the thread about the Iranian hostage takers 25 years on....

But - life is way too short to fuss, generally. Actually always - but I cannot always follow my own advice! Lol...

What bothers me is when I go to a lot of trouble to research an answer
for someone and get no acknowledgement.

It's probably because you're so intimidating.

I'll have to back off my Clint Eastwood steely glare.
