My favorite number is six. It just seems to be a very complete and comforting number. Your favorite could be different, of course. Please tell us why your favorite number isn't six - unless, of course, it is.
@roger,
3
That was a long time ago.
@ossobucotemp,
Okay, I thought things might have changed since then.
@ossobucotemp,
I looked that one up, but all the answers were in French.
@ossobucotemp,
I think 4 is as fine as frog's hair. Everyone is entitled to their own number; mine just happens to be six.
@roger,
That's a sturdy number.
As you know, I devolve until silliness.
What about five?
My favorite number is 18. Not only is it the day of the month I was born on, but in Hebrew it roughly translates into "life."
@roger,
Six is the first perfect number, but I'm more fond of i.
Good to see these responses. I was almost thinking I should ask "Who's your favorite chemist?" or ornithologist, or something.
I love all of the primes.
@centrox,
I knew it. You don't like six.
I like 2, it appears in my birthdate a lot. And if you add 2 +2 you get this guy.
Being serious for a moment, number theory is a very interesting branch of mathematics, provided you don't start looking for woo-woo stuff.

Remember the "Galactic Mathematics" guy?
@roger,
I remember having 17 as a favorite number. Probably because I thought it would be really cool to be 17. As I approached teenagerhood and grew more sophisticated I changed my favorite number to 7.
4 because I was born on the 4th of November
