@Sturgis,
Yeah, you just got to know what kind of pain to have.
@Sturgis,
I wonder if the vape equipment needs to be more carefully cleaned than most people think? I know nothing about vaping, I don't smoke so I'm not interested in vaping but things like Legionnaires seem to be traced to poorly maintained air/heating systems....those C/PAC (I think that's what they are called) machines can harbor nasties and cause sinus infections......((I'm not an expert, it's just a question/thought))
@roger,
I'm not choosey about pain. I usually just take whatever arrives in me.
If CBD oil works, it would maybe be better than the 3 years I spent on oxy (both contin and codone) along with codeine and quite a few bottles of Acetaminophen. (and occasionally morphine and/or dilaudid)
@glitterbag,
When it became clear that the standard vaping was filled with nicotine and other chemicals I figured it would go badly for people. It almost makes cigarettes seem.like a safer option. With a huge target audience being teens, I was angry at the start.
Not to mention the vaping stuff that sometimes explodes.
One of my grandsons started vaping. His fiance got him to quit. She's one of my heroes.
CBD oil is more often taken as a tincture under the tongue, as an edible, or as a topical salve.
"Vaping" refers to all sorts of substances and delivery devices. While some use of vaporizers has been linked to Legionnaire's Disease this occurs when the vapor is intentionally passed through a water pipe and the water contains the bacteria. This can occur in a hookah as well, which doesn't produce vapor, only smoke.
The current warnings about vaping are limited to prepared capsules, manufactured by uninspected labs, where nicotine is mixed with untested chemicals for flavoring and efficiency.
The oil I recommended is taken in drops.
There's no way I'll ever vape.
@jespah,

Were I still a tobacco user I might think about it. But I wouldn't go the commercial pen vape route with the pre-loaded flavored capsules. I doubt that the vapor would be as tasty or as satisfying as old-fashioned smoke. I'd use organic tobacco and if I couldn't find it, I'd grow and cure my own — a tedious process. And hardly worth the nicotine buzz.
But this thread was about CBD oil!
@hightor,
For many folks, THC causes the side-issue of paranoia. The pain exits, but the paranoid moments cloud away that relief and awareness. Cbd oil can be had without any THC.
@Sturgis,
I've heard that but as paranoia is a psychological state and pain is a physical sensation I think individuals might have some degree of control over the first condition. Paranoia can be addressed independent of pain relief.
Despite my skepticism about homeopathic remedies in general, it's efficacy in reducing seizures and it's anti-inflammatory effects possibly in conjunction with brain cell receptors compels further research into this potentially valuable alternative to opioids.
Around here, a centuries old remedy for rheumatism has been a topical liniment made from marijuana soaked in rubbing alcohol.
@roger,
It does seem to. My daughter's great grandmother used to use it.
@InfraBlue,
Good. I tried it orally, and as I probably mentioned, any results were too subjective to tempt my to buy more. Glad it works for some.
I wonder who might have tried CBD oil after reading this thread and if so how they fared.
@edgarblythe,
I did, and went through 2 bottles just to be sure.
It did absolutely nothing for me.
