Haikus on existence

Reply Thu 29 Jun, 2017 05:08 am
Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone had any links to japanese poetry on existence. I would like to find a haiku that described the sort of things we talk about on here: mainly non-dualism, the ego, how we all connect to one another.

I'm thinking Fresco and JLNobody will know?

Thanks so much,
PQ

@The Pentacle Queen,
Without researching I cannot say much other than I believe that the haiku was largely influenced by Zen. I therefore suspect that the contents may be less important than the mode/event of production in some cases....I'm thinking in terms of 'energy flow' in either the writing or the speaking.
Hope this helps.

And it was who I once was
Oh Lord what a buzz

A Haiku on Existence.

@The Anointed,
Intersting Haiku.
Do you mean the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park?

@htam9876,
Not the dinosaurs
A much earlier fossil
from which man evolved

The extinction of the reptilian dinosaurs some 66 million years ago, was a blessing to mankind, as they would have been the greatest threat to the continued evolution of mankind from our ancestors ‘The Mammals,’ of which our oldest known primate-like mammal ancestors, were the Plesiadapis, which came from North America; or the Archicebus, which came from China, or any of the other similar basal primates, which were widespread in Eurasia and Africa during the tropical conditions of the Paleocene and Eocene geological Epochs. And the evolutionary history of those primates can be traced back 65 million years, shortly after the time when the dinosaurs became extinct.

@htam9876,
They're our ancestors
The mammals from which we came
That's what I speak 'bout.

Primate, in zoology, any mammal of the group that includes the lemurs, lorises, tarsiers, monkeys, apes, and humans.

@The Anointed,
Monkey is the relative of human;
They are all in the course of EVOLUTION;
Would monkey evolve into human and would human evolve into monkey?

@htam9876,
Monkeys are not man
Nor are the o-rang-0u-tangs
Man is different.

Cousins they may be
Branched off man's ancestral tree
They're no part of me.

@The Anointed,
Would the “primate” in this territory have been able to use tool to do farming job;
While the “primate” in that territory still retained on the trees in the forest;
Toggle toggle?

(Does EVOLUTION have limitation of territory?)

@htam9876,
If you are asking
Did man evolve from one source
Create your own thread

This is for Haikus
Not for asking your questions
Go else where young man.

@The Anointed,
Why do some people
Only live very short lives
I'll live till I die.

@The Anointed,
A funny topic
Is Haikus on existence
Why ask that question?

What is existence?
Is it the state of being?
If not what is it?

If something begins
Then from what does 'IT' begin
And did 'IT' exist?

@The Anointed,
The darkness descends
And the people are frightened
Could this be the end

For the prophet said
All humanity will end
But will all be dead

Flesh, the dust will bite
But will their spirits live on
In bodies of Light

The promise given
To every one who believes
They'll be forgiven.

All HE asks of you
Is that you love your neighbour
And his words are true
