13 stars (individual stars, constellations and asterisms) that have a distinct star lore about them; current or ancient:
1. Karlvagn - Man's chariot; The big dipper - Norse
2. Sirius--the dog star, brightest star that's not the sun☀️
3. Astraea - the virgin goddess of justice, innocence, purity and precision - Greek
4. Canopus--2nd brightest star. In the southern constellation Carina. Visible in the southern states only.
5. The Teapot is an easily recognizable asterism in Sagittarius. The Teapot is one of the few constellations that look like it's name.
6. Apus (the Bird of Paradise)
7. Scorpius, magnificent constellation of the zodiac. See picture above.
