We do have a $2 bill, but no one uses it.

I don't understand Mac, since a dollar isn't worth much wouldn't a two dollar bill be more useful?

For example, thousands of New Yorkers each day buy a hotdog from a vendor or one of those king sized pretzels, or a hamburgher, are those products under a dollar? If they are a bit more wouldn't a two dollar bill be handy?

The $2 bill just never caught on. If I tried to spend one, the salespeople would be suspicious of it.

I remember complaints that they didn't have a slot in the cash register drawer for it, back when it was new.

Dollar and fifty-cent coins are also very rarely seen.

mac11- I was in a federal facility, and noticed that they had a stamp machine. I needed some stamps, and I put in a $20 bill into the machine.

I got gold and silver $1- coins as change. The gold ones weren't bad. The silver ones, unless you looked really closely, could have easily been mistaken for a quarter. It took me a while to get rid of them.

Next time I will go to the post office! Laughing
