When I thought I had heard the last of Florida stupidity, up comes this story:
Quote:Two Charged with Glue Dentistry

MIAMI (Reuters) - Two flea market jewelers were arrested on charges of practicing dentistry without a license after an undercover investigation found they were gluing gold inlays to people's teeth from the back of their 10-year-old Honda.
Word-of-mouth marketing drew several customers a day who flipped through a photo album of styles before bargaining over the cost of the cosmetic procedure that could range from $150 to $1,000, investigators said.
"They could give you a whole rack of gold, or just cover a few teeth. They even had gold vampire fangs, if that's what you wanted," said Jim Leljedal, a spokesman for the Broward Sheriff's Department.
Investigators said Island Gold Enterprises Inc. was operating from the Swap Shop flea market in Fort Lauderdale for more than a year before police were tipped off by an unhappy customer whose teeth were damaged.
"We found Superglue-like adhesives in the suspects' car and extremely unsanitary conditions," said Enrique Torres, chief investigator for the Florida Department of Health's criminal investigation unit in Broward County.
When the inlays are not properly applied, food can become trapped underneath, causing infection, bone stress and deterioration and disease, he said.
What amazed me was that people would pay good money to have their teeth fixed by a jeweler, from the back of a truck!
There is a sucker born every day. Was it P.T. Barnum who said that?
LOL! Just when you think you've seen it all, haha!
Hmm. Quite the sticky wicket, indeed. Still, no reason to come unglued over the foolishness of other people. The described behavior can be dismissed as merely tacky.
Hopefully, the DoH will really put the bite on these guys.
Now, I think I've said a mouthful...
Proving once again that all that glitters is not always gold.
I think the level of humor here has reached it's Crest, leaving a cavity that won't soon be filled.
ain't that the . . .
never mind
You're wise to extract yourself so quickly!
You've gotten to the root of the problem.
This is all decaying very quickly.
Aw, their bark is worse than their bite.
Brace yourself. Here comes another post!
Cut it out I've got a bridge to cross
Is there a molar to this story?
I suppose that if we drill down deep enough, we will find it!
