I have done a research project, end point is progression free survival in patients with breast cancer. The follow-up was done with MRI-scans, resulting in PR (partial remission), SD (stable disease), PD (progressive disease). I've calculated means and confidence interval.
Now my question is which test to use to calculate the statistic significance between the result, is Mann-Whitney U the best to choose for this? Second question: which point of reference do I choose?
@RoWe86,
I don't know if anyone here can give you an answer. If they don't, I suggest you try the following two links, as these seem to be discussion boards aimed specifically at that type of question.
1.
http://www.protocol-online.org/forums/
2.
http://www.protocol-online.org/forums/forum/57-research-idea-design-and-collaboration/
Number 1 is the link to a bio research message board, number 2 is a specific forum on that message board. You might wish to check out the other forums on the message board to see if they are more appropriate.
Good luck on your research project.
