Ten Live Concerts I May or May Not Have Seen Live Game

Reply Thu 27 Apr, 2017 06:10 am
The following is a list of 10 bands/muscians. I have seen nine of them perform live in concert. Guess who (whom?) I haven't seen perform live in concert.

Avett Brothers
Elvis Costello
Fleetwood Mac
Lady Gaga
Bebel Gilberto
Aimee Mann
Metallica
Steve Miller
Punch Brothers
Suzanne Vega

The next poster should guess from my list of bands, who I haven't seen live in concert. Then write a list of 10 musicians or bands where you've seen only 9 from that list. The next person will guess which one he/she believes that the above poster hasn't seen ... yada yada.

@tsarstepan,
Avett Brothers
Elvis Costello
Fleetwood Mac
Lady Gaga
Bebel Gilberto
Aimee Mann
Metallica
Steve Miller
Punch Brothers
Suzanne Vega

That's an eclectic list of musicians... Metallica sticks out as an oddball.

Rush
Aerosmith
BABYMETAL
Pink Floyd
Bruce Springsteen
Styx
Foreigner
The Eagles
Little River Band
Fish

@McGentrix,
Didn't think the structure to this game through. Saw Metallica back in 91 or 92 in Austin, TX when I was stationed at Fort Hood, TX. We literally were in the second or last row of the arena.

I'm going to say BABYMETAL because its a genre not an individual band.

@tsarstepan,
I never gotten around to see Fleetwood Mac. It's a tad too late now as they players aren't in their best vocal shape and I'm not willing to pay an insane premium for the cheapest seats.

FYI, "What's the first concert you ever saw?" is often a secret question for when people forget their passwords. No need to stop the game, but maybe don't reveal who you saw first.

I noticed this game has gotten really popular on FB. Unfortunately I have to struggle to come up with 9 acts I've seen in concert. Exclamation

@McGentrix,
I say you haven't seen Fish - because it's spelled Phish.

@djjd62,
I'll say OMD is the odd one out because they've only got one good single. And you should have been listening to Otis Redding in any piece of architecture with the word bay in it.

David Bowie
The Smiths
The Cure
Tom Waits (as well)
Paul Weller
Laurie Anderson
Psychedelic Furs
Hawkwind
Jesus and Mary chain
The Pixies

@boomerang,
I'd say the Clash because they didn't tour America a lot and weren't together for too long. I saw Joe Strummer post Clash.

@tsarstepan,
I really like Laurie Anderson, mostly because I really really like William Burroughs and he was on a few of her songs. I've not seen The Jesus and Mary chain. I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen Hawkwind and will be seeing them again with the kids on 20th May.

@izzythepush,
The Clash is the correct! I would have loved to have seen them.

We saw the Stones back when we were DINKs. I would have rather seen them 20 years earlier.
