Trump cut funding to Planned Parenthood

Trump just took away the only medical care poor women were able to access.
He wants to control women's ability to get health care. Health care should be the choice of the woman and her doctor. Not the government.

@cicerone imposter,
Words fail me. But I am sure the resident 'conservatives' will spend thousands of posts defending the action.

How did you make the leap from birth control to "health care" in toto? Didn't China control the number of children a woman could have? Now if that was not ethical (to end a pregnancy), how can the opposite (preventing the ending of a pregancy) be the same? Something is wrong with the equation?

@Foofie,
Faint praise, indeed. My country is still a bit better than China? Thanks, Foof.

You guys... you had me going for a minute there.

Why do you over react in such manner?

Quote:
President Donald Trump privately signed a bill on Thursday that allows states to withhold federal money from organizations that provide abortion services

So, first of all,it's a Bill, not an executive order so it can from Congress.
Secondly, it doesn't cut **** to anyone. It allows states to have rights again like a Federal Government is supposed to. Smaller Government, remember?

Yeah, this is a lot of sound and fury over nothing like normal. I shouldn't have even clicked.

@McGentrix,
You know without being instructed that a number of states have been champing at the bit to do away with planned parenthood. The assholes in power have afforded them the means to do so.

EXACTLY!

That is why states have governments. Have planned parenthood divest itself of abortions and they will plenty of funding. They can split like Netflix did.

These are States Rights issues and the Federal Govt has no business being involved. I don't see planned parenthood enumerated in the Constitutionally granted powers of the Federal Govt.

Yeah, I saw that and thought to myself "Oh look, another baseless attack on Trump that has absolutely no truth to it."

The action needs no defense, but the propaganda needs to be shot down.

Let me ask you, do you agree with states rights in regards to marijuana laws or do you think the Federal Govt should enforce those laws?

I am not following any logical argument? You might need to add to your post above, "and therefore..."

In my mind, states rights is analogous to the Electoral College, in that the popular vote is not what wins a Presidential election, since each state must be represented proportionally. And, that too is a concern of progressives.

Didn't California's majority vote to ban gay marriage? Was that not progressive?

I was talking about the Electoral College being part of the presidential election to all0w all states to have a proportional vote in that election.
