LONDON (Reuters) - A man has been jailed for 75 days for leaving his six-week-old baby locked inside his car while he went out drinking.
Robin Spandler, 44, left baby Lily in the early hours of the morning in a car park in Great Yarmouth.
He went to a bar then took a taxi home and went to bed.
Several hours later his wife realised their daughter was missing and called the police, who found the car with Lily inside and unharmed. They had to break the windows to free her.
Spandler's lawyers said they would appeal the sentence.
