The only Talavera I know is, or was, since it has been quite a while now from when I used to read their catalogs, is a tile company in Mexico.

I also need help identifying a framed piece which was a gift. Can someone help me to determine if it is a piece of art made by the artist which signature is found in lower right corner? Or is it some type of print which may have been mass produced? It is signed BURKLAND. I can send photos, but never did this forum type interactions, so I'm unsure how to go to next step.
