There are so many questions to which I have never received an answer, and to my chagrin, several that I have NOT answered:

HEY, BABS--THE ANSWER TO WHAT THE GUARDS CHANTED OUTSIDE THE WICKED WITCH'S CASTLE IN THE "WIZARD OF OZ" WAS: "OH,WE LOATHE THE OLD ONE":

(courtesy of Maxsdadeo) Laughing

Now for one that I never could ascertain:

Is there a negative correlation between intelligence and creativity?
And another.........

Is the "golden spiral", a subset of the "Golden Ratio", a way to mathematically explain beauty?

What are some questions to which you never received an answer?

Letty, I'm not sure about any negative correlation between intelligence and creativity, but the following link might provide some hints.

I do not possess any statistical data on the correlation between intelligence and creativity, but IMHO, it must not be negative. Ability to create something new, either in science or in art/literature/music requires some basic knowledge and ability to opearte it, and the latter ability cannot exist in absence of intelligence.

In basic research, you have to be both intelligent and creative to be very successful, like win a Nobel prize. But you can be intelligent and not too creative and just plug along in your work and be somewhat successful at earning a living. Shocked

here's a better link. http://www.berkeley.edu/news/berkeleyan/1998/0610/enrichment.html

Creativity without some intelligence is useless, because they will not be able to translate anything into communication for others to understand. c.i.

Hey, all: Thanks for the info. I haven't been able to get in to my browser, and I had to shut down for a spell.

Speaking of which, the witch cast a spell on my puter. Laughing

C.I. I have always wondered about the hands and their connection with creativity. So many people have cited the fingers and their length and strength to the ability to play piano. Curious, sometimes, how science and creativity are not mutually exclusive.
