I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night,

And then the murders began . . .

Howl, by Allen Ginsburg

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. And then the murders began ...

Since I am using the area of Concord MA - thought this would be really funny seeing what a pacifist this man is

"When I wrote the following pages, or rather the bulk of them, I lived alone, in the woods, a mile from any neighbor, in a house which I had built myself, on the shore of Walden Pond, in Concord, Massachusetts, and earned my living by the labor of my hands only. "...and then the murders began.

(I be this is what was really going on in this man's head- always the loners)

Look up, up, up."

@Linkat,
We wish to suggest a structure for the salt of deoxyribose nucleic acid (DNA). And then the murders began.

James Watson and Francis Crick, "A Structure for Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid", 1953.

Can't say I didn't try a change of pace here.

It says you can use movie/songs etc - so how about this one?

"It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?..."

And then the murders began -

Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, but it had no pictures or conversations in it, `and what is the use of a book,' thought Alice `without pictures or conversation?'

The sun did not shine, it was too wet to play, so we sat in the house,
all that cold cold wet day.

I sat there with Sally, we sat there we two,
and I said "how I wish, we had something to do."... and then the murders began.
