HONG KONG (AFP) - A Hong Kong radio presenter hopes to have sung his way into the record books after singing karaoke for more than four days, a media report said.
DJ Barry Yip spent 81 hours and 23 seconds singing 1,000 songs in the charity record bid, the South China Morning Post reported.
With just 15 seconds rest between each song and with the help of 63 local pop stars, including actress and singing superstar Kelly Chen, Yip also managed to raise 120,000 Hong Kong dollars (15,384 US dollars) for Oxfam.
Yip, a DJ for a local music station, had a doctor on hand to monitor his blood pressure and a lawyer to verify his record claim.
