@gungasnake,
OK, after we "de-yuppiefy it" do we then make it a "NEw Age" aventure into middle earth??

heldrake needs to cath up on evidence. I dont criticize him for hypotheses and coneptual cience cauae thats often wheere discoveries come from.

However, when he claims the sun xhibits the evidence of the "electric universe" proponents, he ignores the very fact tht we have surficial and coronal spectrographs that how the chemistry of fusion going on nicely.
Th trouble ith you guys is that you think nobody's thought of what you propose before.

Any fusion taking place on the sun is an effect and not a cause. Sunspots are places on the surface where the electrical activity breaks down and you are seeing into the interior of the sun. If the sun were a thermonuclear engine, sunspots would be blue or white and not black, that is, they would be hotter than the surface and not colder.

@gungasnake,
4H>>>>>4He +2e +2 neutrinos +ENERGY

weve found the neutrinos, no?
I recall as a kid hearing about the first xperiments using tons of perclorethylene to create a neutrino/chlorine photic reaction.

No, nobody has ever "found the neutrinos"...

@gungasnake,
you realize that the artile you post was published 3 years bfore the Italian pp neutrino detector finally orkd. Now, detecting the three "flavors" is what is being worked on.

Your crew doesnt like that little equation to balance

Not sure how clear that was. A sunspot is a place where you are seeing into the interior of the star. If the star really was a thermonuclear fusion engine, the interior would be hotter than the surface and would be either blue or white, and not black. What we see indicates that stars are plasma physics phenomena, powered by dark-mode currents and that a sunspot is a place where the electrical activity breaks down. The light we see is the same sort of arc discharge you see from an arc welder so that, of course, a place on the surface where the arc goes out temporarily is going to be black (cooler) and not blue or white (hotter).

Sheldrake is a former director of studies for cell biology at Cambridge University who in later years has taken up the study of psychic phenomena using good experimental design and statistical methods.

I dont think he was a Director until he left Cambridge nd went to work as a plant physiologist in INJA.
He did do important work on auxins, a cell differentiator in plants. But he got frustrated because he couldnt use his biochem to determine differentiation of developing plants.
(I suppose he needed more Proteomics training, but that was a few decades off.
