Women Lose Six Weeks Each Year Through PMS
A new report claims that women 'lose' six weeks each year through PMS and shouldn't feel so guilty about calling in sick.

In the last 20 years I have taken an average of 4 days per year off, excluding vacations and personal days that I am allowed.

I realize that there are women who have terrible PMS and do need the time off. However, don't complain guysÂ…remember, if your female co-worker takes the day off...you would much rather have her be at home, than bitching at you all day at work. Smile

At my former place of employment a guy kept a record of his female coworker's "visits" and marked them on his calendar (for several months in advance).

Wow. The male columnist wrote:

Six weeks off for PMS? Give me a break

Quote:
On a serious note, though, who is going to pick up the bill when women take three sick days every month? . . .

I know it hurts. And yes, if men were the ones suffering from PMS we'd have put landing on the moon, splitting the atom and inventing the computer on hold until we had worked out how to prevent the pain. But I'm afraid this is one of life's little inequalities that you will have to grin and bear.

What is this man saying? Is he saying that women (unlike men) don't contribute much to society? How much more condescending can he get?

It is rare for women call in sick to their jobs simply because they get their period every 28 days. Very few women have the kind of job or sick leave benefits that would allow for that kind of nonsense.

Heyyyyyyyyyy now!

Can you imagine what the world would be like if guys had to physically suffer through cramps every month. They would be on permanent disability.

So what if we carry an Uzi with us one week out of the month.

Cause' ya know.......the rest of the time we are just cuddly, sweet, and adorable. Cool

Three sick days a month!

What rot!

My sick leave would all be used up in 3 months, bar other illnesses.

I do not know any woman who takes any leave for PMS.

Lots of us don't even have it - I have never had it - except once when I was on some damn mini-pill.

I am just mean all the time..

So true. According to some figures, it's possible that 999,999 men out of a million think about sex every three minutes, spend half their work day looking at porn, and keep a tube of lubricant in their desk drawers so they can jack off 5 times a day. Their secretaries (the one's suffering from PMS or menstruation cramps) do all their work.

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing First of all, most of us only look at porn when we're single and almost exclusively as a visual aid. Lubricant is unnecessary for a pro, and who but a kid would bother doing it more than once a day? (and who could do it 5 times a day Shocked )

Oh, and could you recommend a secretary for me?

Hmmm - we are doing a time and motion thing at work next week - I guess sI won't be putting down time spent thinking about sex!

I know I do it, but I don't remember how many times a day.

Not often, though - not in my job....

You shouldn't. I'm no different at work, except maybe I become a bit more quiet and keep to myself.
