Where I live, we address a married woman as Madam. For example, someone may asked a friend, "Do you know Madam Wong Ah Lay?"

Do natives use "Madam" in the same way?

It isn't common in that usage in the US. More common is Ms. Miss, or Mrs (for a married woman).

Madam sound artificially formal, though it is occasionally used that way. At one time, if you spoke of someone as a madam, it might indicate that she were the operator of a house of prostitution. Even then, that isn't how you would address her.
