Its appears scientists have discovered a`gay gene' THAT CAUSES FEMALE RELATIVES TO HAVE MORE CHILDREN.
I saw this on the front page of a newspaper(times?)in a `snippett' but didn't buy the newspaper.
This gay gene...Gene Kelley, Gene Krupa or Gene Hackman? I'm pretty sure all were straight.
If you could find a link, that would be helpful.
Interesting. Although, that theory doesn't really hold true in my family.
There were 36 links at google news on this topic. Only two of those links were from US sources and those two sources were gay oriented media. The world-wide sources go back at least 20 hours.
The story is on
CNN's Website.
I think someone misread what the story says though. The study claims that females are the likely carriers of this gene - not that it causes them to have more children.
From the CNN article:
"Among homosexuals there were a greater number of gay men in the maternal line of the family, as well as greater fertility in the female relatives."
There's a difference between "greater fertility" and "causing them to have more children". Fertility exists whether sex occurs or not. Children, on the other hand, usually don't.
