I want to start a thread and have it continue for dozens upon dozens of pages. All it takes is a bit of effort, some kind folks, and perhaps mildly interesting conversation, so I'll do my part if you do yours. Try to make me happy; I've been in an A2K funk recently.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. I hope to wake from my sleeping dreams to find my living dream underway.

(Yes, I know that I could think of some cool word game and set the word gamers to work on adding to my thread, but this current thread is easier, and I'm lazy. If I really must, though, one day I might make a somewhat decent word game.)

I'll say something about myself: I study computer science and I played baseball for 10 years.

Um, hello.

About me... well I smile a lot. Mainly because it makes me look like I understand what's going on.

I had a recurring dream when I was little that my mom turned into a witch.

There was one part that I specifically remember where my mom was sitting around talking to her witch friend about how to catch my brother, sister and I. They saw us hiding and came after us so we all ran in different directions. I ran into a room with a bunch of shelves... the metal frame kind like you usually see in garages. So I hid under one of those even though it was only a few inches off of the ground. Then my witch mom came in looking for me but she didn't think to look under the shelves. While she was looking at other places my sisters stuffed bunny became animated and started hoping around in front of me. I thought the rabbit was going to give away my position so I smashed it. But my witch mom saw me and came after me and that is when I would wake up.

And that is a dream of mine...

Oh, poor Seed! What an anxiety dream!

The night before I started third grade, I dreamt that they didn't have enough chairs in the classroom and that I, of all of the kids, had to stand. Was a real testament to the worry of fitting in.

Here's an idea for a topic - your best Hallowe'en costume or experience.

when i was little i would have a bad dream and wake up and then "try to change the channel" i would actually try and turn an imaginary knob on a tv and change the channel in my mind... it never really work but onto the next topic... best Hallowe'en costue or experience.... best experience i would say would be this past halloween... i was in PA and was actually walked around one of the civil war cemetaries... it was the best cus it was so creepy... me and my friend swore up and down that things were out there... the air wasnt quite right... it seemed a bit to thick for the fall night and would change from warm to chilly in an instant and then go back to normal... very creepy and very halloweenish

Halloween's not such a big deal over here in Britain, generally only kids dress up. I had a witch costume that I wore every year till I grew out of it. Was never allowed to go trick or treating though... Sad

In college, I dressed as a dance hall girl one year. I think that was the best costume I ever had and it was certainly the best party (crew, boat house). My date was a vampire, my roomies came with us, one was a clown and the other a nun.

The next morning, I recall getting on the trolley and seeing other folks still in costume (oops, heh), including a punk rocker and his dog, who had matching spiked collars.

Hubby and I dressed up as an elderly couple one year. I went as the old man, he was the old woman.

I found a baggy old wool suit, 1930s hat, a fake white moustache and cane. Hubby was even funnier. He had a white wig, hairnet, old dress with huge water balloons at waistline, baggy support hose, and used a walker. We stayed in character all night.

One year we went to a Halloween Scavenger Hunt party. He went as Hemingway in full safari regalia. I went as the Queen of England...purple velvet floorlength cape with "ermine" trim, dowdy formal dress, crown jewels, full length white evening gloves and bad grey wig. They sent us to hospitals, pizza restaurants, grocery stores, even an adult movie theater in search of unusual objects. Best Halloween party I ever went to.

I love dreams! Funny dreams, scary dreams, dreams that don't seem to make any sense upon first awakening.. You name them...any dream is a great dream in my book. I look at dreaming as my "night school" so to speak. Ya'll probably think I'm strange as heck, but I have gained more wisdom in my dream state than I probably have gained knowledge in my waking state. Answers to questions, decisions to make, understanding of tough situations, awesome revelations.

One of my most memorable and comforting dreams came about 6 months after my sister died and about a year and a half after one of my closest cousin's had died. We had all been very close our entire lives.

I was standing on a very busy street corner in a foreign country waiting to cross the street. I was carrying two of the most beautiful tapestry luggage bags I had ever seen. The light changed and as I crossed the street, I saw my sister and my cousin on the other side, smiling and waiting to greet me. They looked so beautiful! Each of them took one of the tapestry bags and we began to walk up a curving ramp that led us into a huge expanse of a building with gorgeous marble floors and the entire building was lit in a soft, almost neon blue glow. There were large arched windows to our left, but I could see nothing outside except white. We walked along, talking and laughing although no actual words were spoken and I was so happy to be in their company. After walking awhile, along this very quiet, marbled, soft blue (it seemed at that point like and airplane terminal), I asked them where we were going. Their reply to me was "We're here to take you home." I was elated!!!

And then I awoke...sitting straight up in bed and saying outloud..."WAIT!"
I really did not want that dream to end....
