It seems that we are missing a few of our older posters, have some of them passed away or just stopped posting? OmSigDavid is one person who comes to mind, that I haven't seen in a few months.

Regarding OmSig, somebody claimed he was taking a rest and was okay and would be back soon...then they disappeared.
@George,
Somebody not long ago said he moved to a different forum.
I thought I read here that he passed away. I didn't agree much with OmSig David, but he was a nice guy.

David has been "gone" for more than a year.

Well, if Dave is dead, he surely has moved onto a different "forum".
Over the years OmSigDavid and I frequently corresponded by PM on the subject of Second Amendment litigation. We also exchanged email addresses in case we could no longer correspond through a2k.
He never gave me any notice that he was leaving here, and I have not been able to contact him since the moment that he stopped posting publicly.
I always had the impression that his health was not the best.

You're right...that's one reason why he had an assistant .
I liked David. We really didn't agree on much but he was never anything short of a gentleman with me. He did seem to somewhat poor health when we all met in NYC, God, I think it was six (?) years ago.
I have often wondered what happened to au1929.

I think he (?) was just rather elderly, and the 1929 may very well have referred to birth year.

By the way, Au is short for author and Au is also the symbol for gold.

He is or was a stockbroker, hence the ticker tape avatar and very possibly the reason for the abbreviation for gold in his screen name.
They may have me on ignore, but both parados and snood dropped out of (my) sight on election day.

Snood seems to have departed, but he does that and I'm not surprised. No idea about parados. I only noticed his absence after reading your post, and his appearances have been much more consistent than Snood's.
