Hey, that's not right! Santa Claus Conquers The Martians is a holiday classic and we get to see Pia Zadora in her big screen film debut.

If you want some really sappy holiday movies, might I suggest most of the the things shown o. The Hallmark channel?

I seem to be a minority of one, but I absolutely can not stand that classic that everyone else loves, with the "BB gun/you'll put your eye out/leg-lamp/nightmare trip to the mall Santa/etc".

It just seems like watching someone have a miserable holiday experience. I much prefer happiness over misery. And I get more than my fill of misery just watching the evening news.

I like all the other major Xmas classics though.

@oralloy,

The infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) is not only one of the worst Christmas specials but one of the worst creations ever by an alleged human.

After a couple hundred years of them being rerun, I am getting tired of the TV specials such as Frosty the Snowman and the Charlie Brown Christmas. I am a fan of Peanuts, the comic strip, but the specials tend to drag by now. And what's with the theme music to Charlie Brown Christmas getting played each place I go. It not only is not 'Christmassy,' but it's annoying.

Not a movie watcher owing to bad hearing but just popping in to give kudos for the tag: "Crimes against Cinemanity".

Then there was the weirdness and awful story of Santa's Slay
(James Caan wisely chose to remain uncredited in this film)

@Sturgis,
Oscar hopefuls, Chris Kattan and Fran Drescher?! And the plot:
Santa Claus is actually a demon who lost a bet with an Angel, so he becomes the giver of toys and happiness. But when the bet is off, he returns to his evil ways.
How could this go terribly wrong? Confused Laughing Confused
