Beijing's first bunny bar has failed to impress the local punters.
And while it was hoped that all eyes would be on the scantily-clad hostesses, it could soon be eyes down for a game of bingo instead.
Former Maoist radical CK Yu opened the Buck and Bunny Bar in Sanlitun, the capital's diplomatic district, hiring 14 girls to dress up in fake ears, fluffy bottomed skirts and fishnet stockings.
But the diplomats are not biting the carrot of erotica being offered by the bunnygirls and now Mr Yu is considering changing the business.
He is thinking of using the venue to put on bingo games every night.
Sami Sallinpaa, who claims to have dropped into the bar by chance, said: "It is the sort of place you could only get in Beijing.
"So many new bars try to copy something that they think is modern and western, but they often end up seeming odd and old-fashioned."
Mr Yu is the son of a Taiwanese general and was running a bookshop in California selling the works of Mao Zedong before he dipped his toe into the glamour bar business.
