A henpecked German husband has opted to go to prison rather than pay a £56 parking fine.
Police in Itzehoe said the 47-year-old man told them he "couldn't stand the constant bickering at home with his wife."
He said he was "looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet in jail."
I often feel that, compared to my present situation, a stretch in a penitentiary might be extremely relaxing and salubrious to mental well-being.
