@Builder,
Child abusers are drawn to situations where they can use their positions to their advantage. We all know about the Catholic Church. Priests were for centuries considered unquestionably trustworthy. Since that scandal broke, we've seen similar cases involving daycare workers, Boy Scout leaders, camp counselors, pastors, youth group leaders, teachers, babysitters....etc., etc.
All adults that used their position of trust to abuse children.
I haven't heard of any kind of organized trafficking like Pizzagate is supposed to be. I'm sure it happens, somewhere.
One statistic that is being thrown around is the number of children reported missing in the US every year: over 800,000...!!! What they then conveniently neglect to tell you is that all but a very few are soon found unharmed. They were asleep under their bed or wandered over to auntie Jean's house. Some older ones are actually runaways that are discovered years later in another city playing in bar bands, or some other such unlikely thing. Some wander off and get hurt or killed through unfortunate accidents. Some are "kidnapped" by an estranged parent and come to no harm. And 115 out of those 800,000 plus are the victims of a classic "abduction by a stranger" for nefarious purposes. Not all of which are sexual abuse.
News is entertainment, unfortunately. They sensationalize and sometimes fabricate stories specifically designed to inflame the unwitting public.
