Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble deciding where (if anywhere at all) I need to place commas in this sentence: In Leaves of Winter he writes about exile where sorrow and happiness meet.
Would I need commas between "Winter" and "he" and between "exile" and "where," or could I keep the sentence without commas?
Thank you
@grammarpupil,
In Leaves of Winter, he writes about exile where sorrow and happiness meet.
@grammarpupil,
Quote:...'tween "Winter" and "he"
The trend, Gram, is away from the comma except where necessary to meaning
Quote:and 'tween "exile" and "where"
absolutely unnecessary
