Money for a rubbish service

Residents are being offered compensation by a council if refuse collectors fail to pick up their rubbish on time.

North Norfolk Council is offering to pay its customers £5 for every day binmen fail to collect their rubbish.

The council is reinstating its customer guarantee, which was suspended six months ago when a new contractor took over rubbish collections.
