A police drive to attract blood donors in Prague, the Czech capital, has become a huge success ever since they started offering free beer.
Busloads of Czechs from around the country are now turning up to donate a pint.
In exchange they get a coupon worth two pints of beer and a year's subscription to a magazine.
blood
give a pint and get two back, how clever, fair exchange,
i bet it would go down well in glasgow eh
They could start that over here and it would be all the rage...until the PC police got a hold of it.
Rats, rats, and more rats.....
They stopped giving beer here a couple of years ago (however, still do such in Bavaria). Now, you just get non-alcoholic drinks and the normal sandwich/cake stuff. (Or money, when you spend blood at a commercial agency.)
In the US they give you cookies and orange juice.
no fun at all....
