Rick Fisk took crime sitting down. Or at least he sat on a would-be thief until police arrived.

Fisk, 52, arrived at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, just as a woman housebreaker was leaving. Julie Dye, 34, fled but was tackled by Fisk. But his phone was out of reach so he sat on her and it took 20 minutes of shouting before a neighbour heard him and called police.

"I told her, 'Just relax, it's the first step to get your life together,'" said Fisk.
