How to join several short videos to make one video?

We have several very short videos (30 seconds or less) that we would like to join together to make one longer video. Most of the videos were downloaded from a camera with the memory onto our apple computer. 3 of the videos are downloaded from an ipad and were saved in icloud.

Does anyone have instructions how we can pull the videos together as one and save in utube?

@Linkat,
I use Adobe Premiere.

Note: if you're not a student, it's a rather costly program.

If you're not looking for professional results, I find that apps for tablets and phones fit the bill much more simply. Since your vids are in icloud, you could try an app like this, if you have an iPad or iPhone.

@thack45,
My daughter is doing this for a video to be recruited in sports for college. She has several clips some from a camera so I don't think this is in icloud - can it be saved in icloud? Would that be the way to do it?

sorry for the questions - but are the instructions easy - I looked at it and the reviews were negative. I saw that some of the apps are not too expensive just a few dollars. Have you used any and which would you recommend?

@thack45,
Also - do you think it would be helpful if she went to the apple store and asked there?

@thack45,
And I saw that you do most of these on your iphone - we have these videos saved on our Apple computer - I am clueless so please forgive me - would we need to save them on her phone? Or do you save in icloud and then access via your phone?

@Linkat,
I have a subscription and it's something like $21/month. I think their student subscriptions don't change whether you're in HS or college. That might be something to look into. She (or you) can get tutorials on YouTube on how to use it.

@Linkat,
First I must admit that I abandoned iOS after only a few months. As the saying goes, "they just work", but they also just don't operate how I want them to operate. But enough of that – the bottom line is I'm not much help in specific iOS software and such (are Mac computers able to access icloud?). I don't know about the Apple store. If you're not buying anything, they're probably not going to be too keen on helping.

I would say that getting all of the vids in the same location is a good starting point, probably on the computer and the iPad. From there I just search for software that's as barebones as possible and is made specifically for the task desired (to keep it simple). There is a lot of stuff out there, depending on how much you may want to work for it, and this one sounds pretty important so it's probably worth a bit of money and effort for quality results

@Linkat,
Any video editing program can do this. iMovie is a free one on Macs but the suggestion to try mobile apps earlier has s good point about ease of use. They will be easier to use than most desktop apps.

@thack45,
I thought apple might help if we were looking to buy one of their apps to use

@Linkat,
I've gone to two Apple stores in the past for help and the techs are terrific. For me, it's much easier if I can work with them face to face.

Can anyone recommend a Windows video editing program? Is there one on Windows 10? I want to do the opposite. Take a long home movie that's been digitized and turn it into short clips to post on Facebook.

@panzade,
Windows Movie Maker is a free one from MS, not sure if it runs on Win 10 but probably does.

@Linkat,
If you have them on your mac, then open iMovie (download for free from app store if you don't have it) and bring the different videos into your project.

Drag them into the order you want on the timeline and that's it. You can google video tutorials for how to join videos in iMovie or get help from Apple in their stores too as has been suggested.

@panzade,
Me too - I've gone to them for things that seem dumb well they are because I am dumb when it comes to technology and they always have helped me. They fixed my daughter's phone for me in like 2 seconds.

@Robert Gentel,
Thanks I am going to send these directions to my daughter and see if she can do it.

Honestly I have seen some of these videos and they spend all this money to get it done professionally. We have clips from her actual games. One coach even mentioned at a clinic that just post videos from games; it isn't worth spending the money - I think they want to see actual action not all you looking pretty with a prepared pitch to make a nice hit and a hit to make an easy fielding play.

He said they spend a couple of minutes looking just to see if they are interested - they never make a decision just from the video.

I thought real play would work better than a fake set up video.

@Linkat,
We've been to some weddings and birthday parties where they created a video that looks professional. I think their kids or siblings made them.
